How to Use Signature Check:
Receiving signed documents & data:
When receiving signed documents/files, please first save the signed document and separate signature file at a location you will easily remember, i.e. C:MyDocuments.
Please note when saving a signed document:
Any signature invalidates when corresponding, signed documents are changed. Therefore you must NOT save Adobe Acrobat PDF files by using the "Save as" function. This function changes the document header and invalidates the signature. Please use the "Save" function from your eMail program or Browser only. If you want to rename the document, save it first and then rename the file using the Windows Explorer "Rename..." function. If you have inadvertently saved the document using the "Save as" function, please delete the file and re-save the originally received files again. If you have already erased the originals from your incoming mailbox, please request again document & signature from originator.
Starting Signature - Check:
Please start the verification processing window by pressing the "Start" button.

The verification dialog window pops up through a secure and encrypted connection (SSL 128-bit) and provided by a central verification server within a certified trust center. If you are using WindowsXP with SP2 service pack installed please allow pop-up windows for this site.
Processing the signature verification:
In the new window, please select the signed document (invoice, file) and the corresponding signature file to be verified. By pressing "Start Verification" the verification process is initiated and the central verification server begins automatically with checking of document and signature. In case the signature is integrated in the document, please do only select the corresponding file that has to be verified.

Please note that only documents from senders, listed on the homepage, may be verified by this service. Documents from other sources will be rejected.
Displaying verification results:
Prior of initiating the verification process, you may choose if you prefer the result to be displayed in HTML or PDF format. Both formats may be be displayed, printed or stored on your local harddrive. Please follow the guidelines in the verification report.

You may verify any addtional documents & signatures by closing the window and pressing the "Start" button on the main / homepage.
Note for the check of files larger than 3 MB (Java Applet)
For the check of files larger than 3 MB it is necessary to use the Java Applet.Please notice that the Java Runtime Enviroment is required for using the Java Applet. More information is available after choosing the Java Applet.
What is required for using the Java Applet ?
For using the Java Applet the newest Version of the Java Enviroment form the vendor Sun is required. An automatic download or check of your system for Windows user is available here. Please follow the installation instruction on the page.
